"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."--Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr

How This Issue Affects YOU!

If there is ONE thing that I would like for EVERY visitor of this site to carry away with them, it is the knowledge and understanding of how this issue PERSONALLY affects you and your family...

This issue IS NOT specific to crime victims, or to thier families... this issue IS NOT specific to ANY race, gender, occupation or religion...

This issue carries the potential to impact any one of us as citizens of the United States, at any point in our lives. We can't predict when, or if, ourselves or one of our loved ones will become the victim of a crime... and should this come to pass, we ARE NOT guaranteed the prosecution of those who have caused us harm.

Imagine for a moment that you or a loved one is maimed, injured, raped or otherwise harmed. You proceed with the belief that your perpetrator will be brought before a court, that you will have a chance to testify, that a jury of peers will establish the likelihood and the doubt and that a verdict will be reached. No matter the verdict, you assume that you will have your day in court... your chance to be heard and to pursue justice.

Now imagine how you would feel if the prosecutor assigned to your case DENIED YOU THAT CHANCE...

...you are left with no recourse, NO AVENUE OF APPEAL... no real redress at all.

You must learn to accept and live with, not only the aftermath of the original crime... but that of your legally imposed, STATE SANCTIONED submission to that crime as well.

To add insult to injury, you are NOT ALLOWED to seek disciplinary action against a prosecutor who you feel broke thier vows of office.

In effect, you are FORCED to "LET GO", whether you want to or not...

Like so many others, I was completely SHOCKED and OVERWHELMED by the INJUSTICE of it all...

I kept thinking that there "must be some way to appeal" that there "must be some way that I can address these wrongs"... that this "just couldn't really be the way things worked".

I wasted years on these lines of reasoning.

THIS REALLY IS THE WAY THAT THINGS WORK.

I would like to beseech you from the bottom of my heart to educate yourself about this issue... both here and through out the rest of your life. I implore you to understand how serious of a danger this current system is and to SPREAD THIS MESSAGE TO OTHERS...

do it for yourself, for your family...

...together we can restore equity and fairness to the prosecutorial and judicial process...

we can make changes BEFORE ANYONE ELSE'S CIVIL RIGHTS GET TRAMPLED ALL OVER AGAIN!

I'm tired of seeing this pain, over and over again... WE ALL NEED A REMEDY!

...this is a BATTLE that belongs to ALL OF US!
